Award-winning author Val to attend festival
AWARD-winning Beverley Author Val Wood, famous for her best-selling historical novels, will be celebrating the release of her latest book with an exclusive reading at this year’s Beverley Literature Festival. Val said: “It’s been at least 10 years since I last appeared at the festival and I am looking forward to the opportunity of catching up with my faithful readers face to face and meeting some new ones.”
Val’s new novel The Harbour Girl is available from November 10, so festival attendees will receive an exclusive preview almost a whole month ahead of its release.
Val’s novels are renowned for featuring significant areas of Yorkshire and this novel is no different, focusing specifically on Scarborough and Hull.
Val Wood’s exclusive reading of The Harbour Girl takes place on Saturday October 15 at Toll Gavel Methodist Church. Tickets cost £5 and can be purchased from Beverley Tourist Information or by contacting the ticket line on 01482 392699.
