A man has been found at his home in York with a fractured spine, a broken jaw and several broken bones.
The 57-year-old was found at his house in the Clementhorpe area and taken to hospital. Police said he is unable to recall how he sustained his injuries.

A police spokesman said: "It appears this man either had a significant fall or a collision with a vehicle."
