Filey to get mobile Covid testing centre this week, as the town records a big surge in cases
and live on Freeview channel 276
The facility will be set up at Filey Country Park in Church Cliff Drive and will be open tomorrow and Sunday.
It comes after Filey has seen one of the biggest jumps in case numbers in the borough.

Hide AdIn the seven days up to November 6, Filey and Hunmanby recorded 66 new Covid-19 cases, a jump of 22 on the previous week.
The infection rate for the Filey area now stands at 569, above the average for the borough which is at 512.
The testing has been organised by the Department of Health and Social Care which has warned people to not just turn up but make an appointment first.
There are two ways to do this depending on which testing group you are part of.

People who do not have access to the internet, or who have difficulty with the digital portals, can ring the 119 service to book.
Tests can be booked at https://www.gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test. Tests for tomorrow can be booked from 8pm tonight.
