Its yet another new restaurant to Beverley, a town I visit regularly on business and to meet friends so i have tried all the eateries at some time or other. Hats off to the owners for making such an effort in a recession but I feel you have a long way to go in raising your game here. A lot of big chain competition and several small local businesses are doing a very good job there already. Service standards are just ok and the quality of steaks on offer could be much better. I am happy to pay a good price for a good product but i felt a little overcharged for my dryish steak yesterday. Its a nice place with a relaxing atmosphere but it should be me relaxing not the staff! No real sense of urgency shown at any stage even though it wasnt too busy. Drinks are too expensive for Beverley and strangest of all, there were signs that cleaning standards arent all they should be. I say strange because it has only been open a week! I am sure these issues are only because the place is new and still finding its feet, but the next few weeks will tell whether things improve to an acceptable standard or carry on in a fairly mediocre fashion. Restaurant history shows most fail in their first year. This one has time to put things right but Im not confident it will last.
Its a 2 star rating from me for now. Either it will improve or be consigned to history.
