Leven Charity Tractor Run - Marie Curie Cancer Care fundraisers - Sally Jenssen, Irene Smallwood, Sara Towne

Leven has held its first tractor run in aid of Marie Curie cancer care and the Teenage Cancer Trust.

The tractor run raised £800 to be split between the two charities.

A convoy of tractors left Leven recreational hall and visited Little Leven, Burshill, Brandesburton, Catwick, Long Riston, Rise, Whitedale, Hatfield, Goxhill and Wassand before finishing at Sigglesthorne Garden Centre for pie and peas.

Linda Watson, wife of Les Watson who rode the lead tractor in the run said: “It was brilliant, everybody enjoyed the day. There was such a buzz, we had a great turnout and everybody was so enthusiastic.

“It was a lovely day for the village and we can’t wait to hold one again next year.”
