Scarborough Borough Council granted a permit for the house to house collections to Judith Woodcock, of The Great North Air Ambulance Service Trading Co Ltd, throughout the Whitby area. Collections were carried out between the 1st and 2nd of January 2012 and the amount raised was £ 2064. The Great North Air Ambulance Service benefit from all profits made.
