A handful of cars were waiting, and a traffic control had been put in place.

One worker at Seamer Carr this morning said: "I'd thought there would be queues but there's been a steady stream so far, without any backing up."
The sites at Seamer Carr in Scarborough and Whitby’s at Chomley Way are open but the Burniston Road tip in Scarborough is to remain closed at this time.
There will be a cut-off point for any queues, so if they become too long people will need to leave and come back later. Trailers will not be allowed until further notice.
Social distancing must be observed, with people remaining at least two metres apart at all times.
