TOLL Gavel Pre-School Playgroup in Beverley has been praised by Ofsted inspectors for providing good standards of care and nursery education.
The pre-school, which meets at the Methodist Church Hall in Toll Gavel, was inspected in December.

Diane Lynn Turner described it as good in every category, including teaching and learning, organisation and helping children to achieve well and enjoy what they do.

"Staff get to know the children and their families very well and develop warm and trusting relationships, which are a key factor in the children's happiness and success. They are genuinely pleased to see the children each day and are clearly proud of their achievements.

"As a result, the children feel valued and are proud to be members of the pre-school," the report says.
