PICKING up a foreign language is said to be easier the younger a person starts.
That is why South Dalton Playgroup have hired a native French speaker to teach the children the basics of the language.

Anne Ryan of La Jolie Ronde was hired after the playgroup received a donation from Colley (Farm Building Ltd) of Holme-on-the-Wolds.

At their first lesson the tots learned with music and by using the language which, in the past, has been taught only in secondary schools.
