WET and windy weather failed to dampen spirits at Leven CE Primary School's summer fair on Saturday.
According to head teacher Andy Dolman the fair, organised by the Parent, Teachers and Friends Association, was a real crowd pleaser.

Mr Dolman said: “It was incredibly busy despite the weather and everybody seemed to be enjoying themselves.”

The Leven and Brandesburton Majorettes put on a special performance for the crowds while members of Footworks Dance Club, of Leven also performed some of their routines.

Children also enjoyed face painting and a range of stalls featuring games, books, plants, and cakes.

The money raised will go towards funding various projects being organised by the PTFA including the development of an outdoor play area complete with an outdoor classroom as well as climbing equipment for Foundation Stage pupils.

Mr Dolman said some of the money will be spent on repairing and extending the school’s Trim Trail which involves a series of logs in the school grounds which children can walk along.
