TALENTED young dancers from across the region will be auditioning this weekend to be part of the exclusive East Riding Youth Dance County Company.
The County Company was formed in October last year.

This year's auditions are to find young people aged 14 to 18 years who will work together for a year, meeting regularly to work under the direction of professional dance artists to achieve excellence in dance. They will also represent the East Riding at regional and national events.

Co-ordinated by East Riding Council and under the artistic direction of Dawn Holgate, former dance at Phoenix Dance Theatre, the company will be working towards creating performance pieces. The auditions are being held on Saturday and Sunday (October 4 and 5) at Woldgate College, Kilnwick Road, Pocklington.
