DETECTIVES from Humberside Police are currently involved in an investigation into the death of Stephen Paul Ketley, who died suddenly whilst in Castle Hill Hospital in Cottingham, East Yorkshire in May.
A member of staff from the Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust has been interviewed in relation to the death of Mr Ketley and is currently on police bail.

The file into the death is due to submitted to the Crown Prosecution Service shortl
y for consideration.

Meanwhile, Mr Ketley's family, whilst not wishing to speak directly to the media, have released the following statement in relation to his death:

"Steve was a loveable rogue whose family meant everything to him. He was a family man and everybody's best friend.

"He had been with his wife Alice Peacock (48) for 33 years and together they have two daughters; 31-year-old Alison and Louise (22) and two grand-daughters Shannon (four) and two-year-old Zoe.

"He adored his family and in particular his grandchildren. They and the rest of his family were his entire life and he was the mainstay of this family.

"He won't be around to watch them grow up and the gap he has left is enormous.

"We are devastated by his death. He should still be here with us today. He loved life and he had a lot more living to do."
