Beverley-based TAS Communications Ltd is set to cement its reputation as a top agency in East Yorkshire after being shortlisted for five categories in the prestigious CIPR PRide Awards.
The marketing, design and PR agency, established in 2003, already has a string of awards to its name.

In November, TAS is in the running to walk away from the glittering CIPR PRide awards ceremony at The Queens Hotel in Leeds with awards for Commu
nity Relations, Corporate Responsibility, Best Use of Photography or Design, Best Magazine and Best Website.

Managing Director of TAS, Simon Taylor, is delighted that the creative work of the agency is being recognised.

He said: "It is always an honour to make the shortlist for such prestigious awards and we are amongst esteemed company. However, what the shortlist demonstrates is that we remain East Yorkshire's leading agency.

"We are honoured to work with some incredible clients and to come up with some very creative public relations solutions for them. We are very proud to have been shortlisted and feel very positive that we can bring several awards back to East Yorkshire."

TAS has been shortlisted six times for the work it has done for clients Kingswood Parks, Fireflight, Business Week 2008 and Westbridge Homes. The company's own electronic publication Business Life is also shortlisted.

Paul Sewell, the founder of Business Week and Managing Director of Sewell Group, is delighted that the Business Week 2008 website has been shortlisted.

He added: "The design is exceptional and the amount of content is extraordinary. The Business Week 2008 website is one of the best I have ever seen."

Equally pleased is Business Week's Mike Firth, who worked closely with TAS on the content of this year's brochure, which has been shortlisted in the Best Use of Photography and Design category.

He said: "The brochure just blew everybody away and I've never seen such a high quality publication for an event of this kind. Anyone that picked it up knew instantly that we meant business. That approach was reflected in all of the designs that TAS did for Business Week 2008 and the YIBC."

Also shortlisted in two awards categories is Hull City Council's communications work for the Wilberforce 2007 campaign.

Mr Taylor added: "I am delighted that such a worthwhile and very important campaign has been recognised."

TAS handles around 200 clients in Hull and the East Riding and, over the last three years, has worked with 50 public sector organisations. Regional and national contracts include E.ON, Philips, BP and the Yorkshire International Business Convention, with international clients as far away as Norway and Spain.
