THE Beverley Folk Festival is inviting townsfolk to celebrate Christmas with party band King Pleasure and the Biscuit Boys.
Festival organisers want to give all those looking for a great night of entertainment, the chance to celebrate with these kings of swing.

King Pleasure are one of the most popular jazz and swing bands in the world, made famous by Ronnie Scott’s clubs and performing numbers in Louis Jordan and Eddie Cleanhead style.

They have a range of instrumental ability, have recorded seven CDs and have performed a unique mix of 1940s Kansas City jazz and blues internationally.

From humble beginnings as a group of school friends in a coffee shop in Walsall, King Pleasure have made themselves a household name with their jazz and blues rhythms, crazy on-stage antics, musical humour and professionalism.

King Pleasure are performing at Beverley Memorial Hall on Friday December 19 at 8pm. Tickets cost £14 (£12 for concessions) from www.beverleyfestival.com or (01377) 217569 and from Beverley Tourist Information Centre.
