Driffield concert by Basse Corde

MUSIC ensemble Basse Corde will be performing at Driffield Community Centre on Wednesday October 8 at 2pm.
Basse Corde was formed in 2005 by two freelance players, Pietro Lusvardi and Chris Nolan, who were both teaching part-time in Hull.

Basse Corde also play together as members of a bass quartet /quintet, as well as freelancing orchestrally with groups in the Yorkshire area.
Since their inaugural performance, they have been researching repertoire for this unusual combination in readiness for a concert tour of venues in the north east, including Holy Trinity Church, Hull and Stokesly Town Hall.

The concert in Driffield will include music from Boismortier Sonata in D for cello and bass, J S Bach sarabande and minuets from the suite in C for solo cello, Haydn's divertimento in D for cello and bass,and Duke Ellington's Come Sunday and many more.

Tickets cost adults £10, concessions £8, and are available from Driffield Community Centre or by calling (01482) 392966.
