ONE of Beverley's oldest family firms has held a special day of celebrations to mark the 100th year of household appliance giant Hoover.
The centenary was marked at the Briggs & Powell store in Beverley with a day of games, special offers, cake and wine, attended by Hoover's area sales manager Sue Brinded.

Briggs & Powell, which was itself founded very many years ago, has been a Hoover agent for decades.
