Beef Improvement Company and Wold Top Beer shortlisted for Deliciouslyyorkshire awards

TWO Driffield area companies are in the running for top food awards.
The Beef Improvement Company has been shortlisted in the much-anticipated Deliciouslyorkshire Annual Awards 2008-09 in for its Givendale Beef.
And Wold Top Brewery has been nominated for its Wold Top Bitter.
Designed to showcase the best food and drink the Yorkshire and Humber region has to offer, the awards celebrate the exceptional achievements of Regional Food Group members.
The standard of entries for the awards which are held each November gets progressively higher and this year the panel of expert, independent judges were set the task of whittling down a record-breaking 172 entries to a shortlist of just 51 producer members across 18 categories.
This year's Deliciouslyorkshire Award winners will be announced at a star studded dinner and awards ceremony to be hosted by Radio 2's resident foodie and Deliciouslyorkshire judge Nigel Barden at Rudding Park, Harrogate, on November 3.
