School actors take to the streets

STUDENTS from Longcroft School and Performing Arts College took to the streets of Beverley this week to revive the ancient tradition of mummers' plays.
The youngsters performed in several locations in the town - Railway Square, Angel Square and outside the Treasure House in Champney Road.

Traditionally the plays were always updated and revised to reflect the era in which they were performed, and the Longcroft students' performance included contempary elements to make them relevant to today's audiences.
